Yesterday I got my first paycheck! Yay! I gotta say it feels good to get some income. I really needed it. This is weirdly my first job in six or seven years so it is kind of weird. The paycheck wasn’t much, only a couple hundred bucks, but when you consider that I only got about $800 a month previously from SSI, a couple hundred for less than two days of work isn’t bad at all.
To celebrate this occassion I went out for lunch to go eat a burrito at Panchero’s which I don’t get to go to that often so it was a nice treat for me. I also need to go to the store later and buy myself some new pants and maybe a new short sleeved shirt for work. So the money is almost almost spent already. Ok so only half of it. But it is nice to be able to spend it all the same. I think it is likely that almost everyone tends to spend a larger chunk of their first paycheck than any other just for their own happiness of having a new job.
This job is kind of strange for the fact that I will be getting paid every week. I think this is actually kind of nice. Yeah I won’t be getting very much with each check, but at the same time this will allow me a constant stream of money so that I will always be ok financially and I won’t suffer from that late month stretch. I just need to make sure that I have enough money when it comes to paying bills, however I do think most of my bills are sporadically placed instead of all occurring at the same time. This should make it easy.
