I would be remiss if I didn’t put out some word about the Packers. I must admit that I can’t believe it still. I couldn’t believe they were even in the Super Bowl the last couple of weeks and now I can’t believe they’ve won it. It is completely unreal. I can’t even imagine how it is with the players. To the players, I hope they know how proud everyone is for them. They did what they needed to do and now they have rings to reward them.
Actually, the game exemplified quite well what the Packers went through to get there. They were favored to win, but many had doubts, myself included. They saw injuries within the game to important players, but others stepped in and did what they needed to. The defense carried the team yet again, one last time. And Aaron Rodgers was good, but actually didn’t play that great (I actually feel his season this year wasn’t as good as he can do and is the worst of his 3 as well).
I am excited for next year with so many players coming back from injury. I’m not sure who will be back and who won’t. I suspect a couple of players will get cut due to a number of issues and that makes me sad. But the Packers should be a better team next year than they were this year which is scary considering what they accomplished this year.
Next up, the players and the owners need to sign an agreement. But more importantly is the draft. I’ve never been so happy to get such a low draft choice!
