My Game Collection

Several years ago I began collecting video games. I guess I am a bandwagon hopper as I decided after seeing a few people’s collections. This reminded me of kind of a childhood dream that I had. You see, when I was a kid, I would go to the video store and rent video games on an almost weekly basis to play the latest and greatest. At the time, I sort of thought that this sort of thing would always be around, but what I always dreamed about was the time when I could afford to buy a library of games so that I could have essentially my own video game rental store for my own personal use (not that I ever had any intent of renting them out to others).

So here I present my humble collection (it isn’t huge by any stretch of the words!). I am currently breaking it down by system. I eventually want to have additional information for each of the games such as personal bests, my ratings for the games, and and reviews, etc. But for now just what I have will have to suffice.

For the collection at large, there are a few things that I should note, that you will notice a trend with, about what I focus on with getting new entries.

  1. I am in fact a Nintendo Fanboi and as such, I do go and try to get Nintendo games first and foremost.
  2. I am also an RPG fan and try to get as many RPGs as my wallet will allow.
  3. N64 is my favorite system followed closely by the SNES. SNES has some of best games that any console has ever had, but N64’s library is very low on shovelware and, like SNES games and unlike PSX games, the 3D actually tends to hold up.
  4. I am not afraid to buy Famicom & Super Famicom games but that is not a focus at all.
