McCain on Daily Show

I wish I could post a link of this interview, but unfortunately Viacom has been harsh on YouTube and thus Daily Show posts get pulled almost as fast as they get posted. However, if you saw this particular interview, it was worth the watch. Jon Stewart did an amazing job grilling McCain, and did a much better job at catching him on what he says far better than other media channels.

In one particular question, Stewart asked about McCain going out and telling people that terrorists endorsed Obama (a similar tactic that Bush used in 2004 against Kerry I might add who said almost verbatim the same thing). The first thing Stewart got from him was that he doesn’t regret using dirty politics, which was blatantly obvious when Stewart asked if he regretted it. When compared to how Bush has actually helped terrorists recruit and has been a boon to terrorists, McCain brushed it off saying well the terrorists hate everyone. To wish Stewart pointed out that they didn’t actually endorse Obama because they hate him too, which McCain said was true but that McCain “was their worst nightmare.” To me this just essentially says that we would see the same thing with McCain as Bush. An increase in terrorism recruiting because McCain is a nightmare, much like Bush is currently a nightmare.

I gotta give kudos to Stewart on this interview. Politicians are scared of going on Colbert because he makes them look silly, but Stewart should be the real worry because he makes them look like idiots.

The Theme is just the basic K2 theme.. linky in the footer of every page… Then I added a few plugins to have the recent comments, category cloud, recent twitter comments, and then the line of “adds” (like the digg logo & such).

I’m currently in the midst of a major revision however that is going to take away much of how this site looks to be a little more “unique.” I think this page is actually fairly generic for blogs, this is standard. But it does work to some degree because it is really simple and simple is good.
